PGA Junior League Comes to Fossil Trace
April 19, 2016
Golf leagues exist in various forms at golf courses and clubs all around the country. Whether it be a weekly competitive league, a bi-monthly social league or a work league that brings colleagues together out of the office, golf leagues typically provide adult golfers an opportunity to socialize and have fun while playing the great game of golf.
What about a league for aspiring junior golfers..? PGA Junior League Golf was unveiled by the PGA of America in 2011, with teams competing in Atlanta, Tampa, Dallas, and San Diego. The inaugural PGA Junior League Championship was held in September of the same year at TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, GA. From the program’s humble beginnings back in 2011, participation has skyrocketed. PGA Junior League now boasts over 30,000 youth participants and 2,500 teams in 48 states and all 41 PGA Sections.
PGA Junior League makes its debut at Fossil Trace Golf Club in 2016 as part of a league featuring West Woods Golf Club, Lake Arbor Golf Club, Overland Park Golf Course, Foothills Golf Course and Raccoon Creek Golf Course. Summer is just around the corner; creating great golf memories and fostering enjoyment for all players is at the heart of what we do. Let’s play more golf, let’s have more fun!
