Jim Hajek, PGA has served as the Head Golf Professional since the course opened in 2003. Originally from southeastern South Dakota, Jim graduated from the University of South Dakota with a degree in education, emphasis in mathematics and computers. He began his golf career by managing a small country club in his home town of Tyndall. He and his wife Lisa moved to the Denver area in 1989 where she is the owner and operator of The Graceful Touch – therapeutic massage practices in both Lakewood and Englewood.
Jim has been fortunate to play golf at some of the greatest golf destinations in the world including Ireland, Scotland, Mexico, Argentina, and throughout the USA. Although it is difficult to separate all the amazing properties, he would say the Bandon Dunes is the best pure golf experience around (without needing a passport) and has taken several travel groups to the Oregon coast.
Numerous awards have honored Jim including: 2016 Colorado Golf Hall of Fame “Golf Person of the Year”, 2015 PGA Merchandiser of the Year (National Award) and 2014, 2012, 2007 Colorado PGA Merchandiser of the Year. He currently serves as the Vice President of the Colorado PGA Board of Directors as well as a Trustee for the Colorado Open Golf Foundation.
