Pump Station & Irrigation Project
Thank you for choosing to play Fossil Trace Golf Club. We want to proactively share information about an upcoming Pump Station and Irrigation System Improvement Project that may affect daily setup and course presentation.
Why We are Doing This
This project is a reinvestment in the golf experience. The pump station and irrigation infrastructure are fundamental to reliable conditioning, healthy playing surfaces, and long-term system performance. In Colorado’s semi-arid climate, improvements to pumping, control, and distribution also support responsible water use by helping apply water more precisely and reducing waste.
Project Timeline
- Dates: June, 2026 – May, 2027
- Work schedule: Primarily weekdays during daylight hours (with occasional early-morning activity)
What This Means for Play
Our teams will manage daily setup to protect the quality, safety, and pace of play you expect. We have scheduled this project to avoid full-hole closures. All 18 holes are expected to remain open each day. However, to maintain safety and keep play moving, you may see temporary adjustments on select holes, including:
- Shortened yardage using forward tees or temporary teeing areas
- Minor reroutes around active work zones
- Ground Under Repair areas with clearly marked relief
- Occasional cart restrictions or directional guidance near active work
These adjustments should be limited in scope and may change day-to-day based on progress and weather. Our team will communicate the day’s setup at check-in and on the first tee.
