Rick Ellefson, Director of Instruction

 

Originally from South Dakota, Rick first began teaching golf at the age of 20 at Meadowbrook Golf Course in Rapid City, SD. Rick was very fortunate to be exposed to a wide variety of teaching methods and styles at a young age. In 1991, Rick began working as Head Professional at LeSueur Country Club in Minnesota.

 

After 9 year tenure in LeSueur, Rick became the Teaching Professional at Minnesota Valley Country Club before moving to Colorado in 2005, where he became Director of Instruction at Fossil Trace Golf Club. With 25 years experience as an instructor he has developed his teaching skills to accommodate all levels of players and continues to be updated on the latest teaching techniques yearly to provide you with the best instruction possible. A member of the P.G.A. of America and a three-time nominee for Teacher of the Year in Minnesota and Colorado, Rick has taught players of all ages and skill levels and has graduated hundreds of satisfied students. He looks forward to helping you with any part of your golf game.

 

Adam Finch, PGA 1st Assistant Golf Professional

Adam Finch is the PGA First Assistant Golf Professional at Fossil Trace. Adam began teaching golf in the year 2000 but has an extensive background in teaching other sports in addition to golf. He has coached children of varying ages in tee-ball, baseball, football and of course golf. Adam brings a wide range of instruction experience in his 8 years as an instructor to students of all ages and abilities. His enthusiasm allows him to excel in working with junior golfers as a lead instructor in the Fossil Trace Junior Academy. Adam has been employed at a number of top facilities including The Pines, a 5-star resort course in Minnesota and Minnesota Valley Country Club where he learned under the tutelage of Rick Ellefson, Director of Instruction at Fossil Trace. Adam looks forward to working with you on any part of your game to help you enjoy your golf experience.
